TeleSynergy's turnkey TelePCX Comm Server - CT EXPO Spring 99 Judge's Pick
May 1, 1999
TeleSynergy's
TelePCX 2.0 is a proprietary communication server that has
everything a company needs to get started (auto attendant,
voice mail, IVR, FOD, unified messaging, toolkit) and a price
tag that even small and mid-sized companies can live with.
The TeleSynergy
(Santa Clara, CA-408-260-9970) booth was humming at the show
- it took me several attempts to nuzzle my way in. When I
finally did, their TelePCX 2.0 proprietary communication server
turned out to be a virtual shoo-in for my judge's Pick.
One, because
it has everything a company needs to get started - no mixing
and matching from various vendors. And two, because the price
is right, starting at under $2K for a full-blown system.
A turnkey
package will get you the TelePCX 2.0 95/98/NT PC-based phone
system, combined with auto attendant/voice mail and an application
generator called TeleAPG. The system scales up to 48 trunks
by 96 extensions.
The pieces
that make up TelePCX are not entirely new- the boards, software
applications and TeleAPG toolkit have been on the market for
a while - but the turnkey TelePCX 2.0 has only Ben shipping
since December '98.
Many CT
applications such as IVR, FOD and web-based unified messaging
can be integrated into TelePCX 2.0 as needed via the GUI-based
application generator, TeleAPG. IVR and FOD can be built right
in. Over 60 high-and low-level objects can be dragged and
dropped into a chart of your call flow. I tried it - easy.
TeleSynergy's web-based unified message system, TeleUMS, can
also be added to the TelePCX 2.0 as needed.
